moderate voters don't real, only base mobilization matters

Catering towards moderate Republicans is how Democrats keep losing elections. I think there‘s this misconception that with shifting results there‘s this group of volatile moderate swing voters that decide the outcome of the election. As if there‘s a bunch of people that voted Trump in 2016, Biden in 2021 and now Trump again. But in reality that‘s not really the case. Like yeah there will be Republicans that disagree with the parties line on Trans people but if push comes to shove, even if the Democrats take steps towards them, they‘ll still vote Red. Which means that elections right now are mostly won by mobilizing as much of your base as possible while hoping that the other side is unable to do so. And this means enticing moderate oppositional voters is finally a fruitless Endeavour.
