Someone's doing a midterm PSA that starts with genuine economic grievances before pivoting into a well-worn both-sides rant that somehow blames Republicans for being predictably awful AND Democrats for abandoning the working class in pursuit of corporate money—basically 'the political system has failed us all' but delivered like they've just had an espresso and a revelation simultaneously. So this notion, I think, is really important and at the heart of the midterms, is we all expect MAGA or anybody that votes Republican, we know what they're going to do. We know they're going to do immoral things, break laws, give rich people all the perks and scapegoat black and brown people and poor people. We know that. Rinse and repeat. We have decades of data that shows us that's what they're going to do. Since the fall of Citizen United, we have a Democratic Party that has wandered off from the working class and has wandered over to corporate interests.
