Local man celebrates voting against refugees like it's a sports match

Local residents have won! This evening at the Swale Full Council, a motion to make the Borough a "sanctuary for asylum seekers & refugees" was put forward by the Liberal Democrats and Greens. But I'm very happy to say that it was shot down 21 - 8! Swale has won!
