UPS hides packages, FedEx doesn't: a payroll mystery nobody asked for

Why is it that UPS try everything to hide your package but FedEx doesn’t? Do UPS staff get paid more? I noticed that UPS drivers would hide your package behind trash cans, in your recycle bin, the door, etc. BUT FedEx just throws your package in front of your door more exposed.
